Financial Aid/Scholarship Schemes
Under the following central/state Govt. schemes, scholarships are provided to meritorious students belonging to SC/BC category, Minorities Communities as per the guidelines of the Government of India and Government of Punjab:-
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST/OBC Students of Punjab and other states :
Eligibility criteria: The annual income of their parents/guardians should not exceeded Rs. 2 lac.
Merit-cum-means Based Scholarship Scheme for Minority Communities (Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi) Students of Punjab and other states:
Eligibility criteria: The annual income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of beneficiary should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh from all sources.
Special scholarship scheme for students of Jammu & Kashmir.
Eligibility criteria: The annual income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of beneficiary should not exceed Rs 6 lakh from all sources
Eligible applicants may send their application on prescribed format for grant of scholarship to the Directorate of Welfare of SCs and BCs, Punjab through the head of school/college/institute .Application form and other information for eligibility can be down loaded from the website http://www.miniorityaffairs.gov.in http://punjabgovt.gov.in http://socialjustice.nic.in/.
